Three to five years logistics experience preferred, including contract negotiations with common carriers and international freight forwarders. Experience with freight including small package, LTL, and container. Knowledge of customs regulations, and experience with government requirements for import and export, including harmonized code interpretation and determination. Quick thinking, detail oriented, and problem solving abilities. Experience with monitoring, reporting, and controlling freight costs. Manufacturing Production Supervisor
We have a position open for a production supervisor in one of our satellite facilities in a small Kansas town of approximately 2,400 population, with excellent schools and medical facilities. If you would enjoy living and working in a rural environment, this is a perfect opportunity. The manufacturing plant has approximately 20 employees, a Plant manager, a full time maintenance technician, and the open PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR position. This position would be in the succession plan to promote to the Plant Manager position, in approximately 10 years. We are looking for a long-term commitment of the right candidate. The Production Supervisor makes decisions on hiring selections, training, production planning, inventory transactions, completing regulatory documents, and administering company policies. The Plant Manager and the Production Supervisor are working positions, as well as supervisory positions. Each position is responsible for approximately 10 employees. The core competencies of this plant include permanent mold aluminum casting, woodworking, finishing, and screen printing. Personal computer skills in a Windows environment and experience in one or all of these processes, is a plus. College education and/or manufacturing experience is desirable.
